El The Hotel Andalucía was originally a summer country house owned by the Carillo family. The building was formerly known as "Calenturas".
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Carillo family also owned the Lanjarón Spa Center, a rather large property that extended itself from the Spa center down to the premises of the current Hotel Andalucía.
In 1909 the gardens were incorporated. The property was sold in the 50's to the present owners, the Cuéllar family, who initially run it as an extension of another hotel in town of their own called Alameda. In the 60's the swimming pool was constructed as well as the rooms adjacent to the garden.
In the last few yearsThe hotel Andalucía has undergone a vast remodeling, particularly in the public areas. The hotel has also been extended to the South, including comfortable rooms with outstanding views to the mountains and the ruins of the local Arabic casttle..
